Saints and Vikings Meet in NFL Showdown

Not only are the New Orleans Saints and Minnesota Vikings two teams who are playing well right now, but they are also two of the most free-scoring teams in the NFL. Regardless of who you want to win this one, and who eventually runs out as the winner, there is no doubt that this game should be a great one to watch. The last time these met, they put 53 points on the board in a 29-24 win for the Vikings, the same looks possible again, maybe even more and the Bovada bookies have all lines and odds on the game.

The Saints come here with a 5-1 record on the season so far, and a big part of that has been the play of Drew Brees. He has been exceptional once again, throwing for over 1800 yards and 13 touchdowns so far. While ever he is making the calls in New Orleans, the Saints are going to be towards the top of the standings.

The Saints have a great two-pronged attack that works very well with Brees. Michael Thomas is a genuine top end wide receiver and having a great year so far with nearly 600 yards to his name and four touchdowns. Alongside Thomas, Alvin Kamara has emerged as a star threat both on the ground and in the air. He has over 360 yards in both of those categories, and a hugely impressive seven touchdowns already. It is easy to see why the Saints score so freely, but they are going to have to be at their best to match the Vikings here.

Minnesota came close to a Super Bowl last year, but they think they have brought in the final piece this season, and expect to go close again. Kirk Cousins is that piece, according to the Vikings, and so far you can't blame them for being excited. He has over 2000 throwing yards and 14 touchdowns to start his Minnesota career with a bang. The Vikings are 4-2-1 so far, and he is a big reason for that.

While the Vikings are struggling a little on the ground, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are superstars in the air. Thielen has been nothing short of incredible so far, with over 800 yards to his name and five touchdowns.

These two are set up perfectly to provide a hugely entertaining and high scoring game. Both have the ability to win it, and I doubt there will be much between these two in the end but I am just favouring New Orleans to win this one.
