Things are going great for the Philadelphia Eagles right now and many people are expecting a long playoff run, perhaps a Super Bowl appearance and maybe even a Super Bowl victory from them. From the pressure being off, the pressure is now firmly on them to perform and keep up their good run, something they can do on Sunday night when they visit the Seattle Seahawks.
This isn’t going to be easy for the Eagles, their opponents are right in the battle for a playoff spot now and every point they pick up is vital to them. However, the Eagles have class on their side and they continue to show us just how good they are, it is almost impossible to oppose them right now with the way they are playing. They had their bye week in week 10, and have come back better than ever with big demolitions of Dallas and Chicago over the past two weeks. They have scored over 30 points in both of those games, and limited their opposition to single figures, with the Bears scoring just three points last weekend.
With figures like that at both sides of the football, it is easy to see why the Eagles are sweeping by so many teams, and the Seahawks look to have a huge task when it comes to stopping them this weekend. They have played fairly well so far this season, and are only one win away from the top of the NFC West standings, behind the LA Rams. That will be in their sights, and while they probably won’t fancy a win against the Eagles this weekend, a good performance will continue to give them hope of passing the Rams.
Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz continues to draw huge praise and this weekend is another chance for him to go head to head against a top quarterback in the game, Russell Wilson. It has been a very good season so far for Wilson, he has thrown over 3000 yards and nearly 400 yards more than Wentz. His play is key to the Seahawks, just like the play of Wentz is becoming key to the Eagles and this should be a great matchup to watch.
The Eagles have the edge, they have played some great football so far this season and they can pick up another win against the Seahawks this weekend.
