Goff and the Rams to Progress in Playoffs

The LA Rams have had a very good season with their rookie quarterback Jared Goff and this weekend he gets his first taste of playoff action. They take on a very experienced Atlanta Falcons team, who made it to the Super Bowl last season, although this game very much looks like it could signal a changing of the guard. Goff is one of many young quarterbacks making giant strides, it is only a matter of time before they take over and should Goff beat Ryan in this huge playoff matchup, this would be another sign that his time to shine is coming closer, and you can bet the game live and post kick off at Bovada.

The Rams won the NFC West division this season, beating the traditionally strong Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals as they put up an impressive 11-5 seasonal record. A big part of that was down to their electric offence, led by Goff and another youngster Todd Gurley. After a rough time last season, Gurley has certainly shown his worth this season, scoring a total of 19 touchdowns which puts him miles ahead of anyone else on the team. 13 of those came on the floor, where he did most of the work, and his six receiving touchdowns put him second on the team in that category.

With Sammy Watkins giving them a genuine red zone target, and Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods also making big strides, the Rams are a very well-rounded offensive outfit, Goff has a ton of options available to him.

In many ways, the Rams are trying to develop into a similar team to the Atlanta Falcons offensively. They have a great quarterback in Matt Ryan and many different weapons for him both on the ground and in the air. Devonta Freeman and Julio Jones lead them, but just like the Rams, they have many other contributors like Tevin Coleman, Mohamed Sanu and Austin Hooper.

As far as experience goes, the Falcons are well ahead here although their huge disappointment in the Super Bowl last season may continue to hang over them like it has this season. However, despite that experience advantage, the younger quarterbacks are beginning to come to the fore in the NFL, and Jared Goff can land a big victory for the young guns here by beating Matt Ryan and the Falcons.

This promises to be a great game to watch, with two talented offences on show so do not be surprised to see a shootout. The Falcons know what it takes to win, but the Rams have really impressed this season, and they can take this wild-card matchup.
