Rams at Raiders Lines and Preview

Monday Night Football kicks off with the LA Rams and the Oakland Raiders bringing week one of the NFL season to a close and it wouldn’t be a surprise if this was the best game out of the entire weekend. These two teams look evenly matched, and both have plenty of offensive weapons so look out for a high scoring game here, with all lines available at Bovada sports betting. Both will have playoff ambitions, but neither are locks to get into the postseason, so a good start is vital for each team, to give them a momentum boost and show other teams what they are capable of.

The Raiders come into this season a little underestimated in my opinion, they have a very talented group of offensive players. Marshawn Lynch and Doug Martin bring vast experience to their running back group, while Jordy Nelson does the same to their group of wide receivers. Amari Cooper is the star on this team, and his connection with quarterback Derek Carr is something that can push the Oakland Raiders to victories this season. Their defensive unit is not the best, and they are likely to be involved in many high scoring games but while ever they have the attacking players they do, they will always be a team capable of winning games.

The LA Rams were led to the playoffs by Jared Goff last season after an impressive 11-5 winning record. They will be hoping to improve further on that, and with such a young core to their line-up, it certainly wouldn’t be a surprise. The future of this franchise rests on the shoulders of Goff and star running back Todd Gurley, so make sure you watch out for these two during the season. Brandin Cooks gives them another weapon to use, he has received for over 1000 yards in his last three seasons and if he can get a relationship going with Goff then he is going to be a very dangerous player this coming season.

I don’t think there will be too much between these, the LA Rams are slightly better than the Raiders but not by much. The way to go here may be to look at the total points line, we are sure to see a lot of points scored in this one, so backing over on that line is likely to yield a good result. If I was forced into picking a winner, I would side with the Raiders as they offer value being the outsiders, but there is little to split them for me.
