Ravens Can Keep Playoff Hopes Alive by Beating Texans

The Baltimore Ravens have a chance of making the playoffs, as do the Houston Texans but both know they need a strong finish to the season, and things to go their way elsewhere for them to make it. The Ravens are in a better position though, and come here on the back of a great victory over the Green Bay Packers, shutting them out in the process. They face another team struggling without their starting quarterback this week in the Houston Texans, and they can take advantage of the situation once more.

The Ravens defence deserves a lot of praise, they have managed to register three shutouts this season, with two of those coming in their last three games. A 40-0 victory over the Miami Dolphins came in week eight before they had a disappointing loss before their bye week against the Tennessee Titans. They bounced back well last weekend, shutting out the Green Bay Packers to beat them 23-0, another impressive defensive play by the Ravens.

The Texans were playing some good football with Deshaun Watson in charge, although they have now lost him. Despite that though, they still won well last weekend at home to Arizona, and they have to show the same levels if they are to complete the season well without Watson.

However, that could be tough for them this weekend, travelling to play a good Ravens team. Their strength lies in their defence too, which will not suit the Texans who have a new quarterback running the show. The Ravens will no doubt put them under pressure, and it will be interesting to see how the Texans react to that. With the home crowd behind them, if the Ravens can force a couple of early three and outs, the Texans could find themselves in a whole lot of trouble.

The Texans are in a tricky situation right now and they don’t look like escaping it on their visit to Baltimore for Monday Night Football. The Ravens are playing well right now and will still believe they can make the playoffs. That requires them to win this game, but with so many things in their favour, it is hard to see them not doing that.

The Ravens can win this one comfortably, putting pressure on Tom Savage at quarterback and scoring enough points to keep the scoreboard ticking and you can get all of the odds at the leading US online sportsbook Bovada.
