Titans and Mariota to Bounce Back against the Colts

The Tennessee Titans started the season very well but after two disappointing defeats in the last two weeks, they now find themselves at 2-3 for the season. Their loss this weekend came without their promising your quarterback Marcus Mariota, although it is expected he will return in time to face the Indianapolis Colts on Monday night. Should he return then the Titans looks to have a great chance of bouncing back an beating the Colts, and you can bet both before the game and live in play at Bovada.

The Colts won in overtime on Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers to take their record to 2-3 like the Titans, but it is Tennessee who have impressed more so far this season. Without Andrew Luck, the Colts have really struggled for offence and having a suspect defence could be their major undoing. While ever Luck remains out of the line-up, I am struggling to give myself enough reasons to back the Colts, whereas if Mariota doesn’t make the Titans team this week, they still look capable of picking up a win.

I do expect Mariota to play though, and that is going to be enough to see the Titans come out on top comfortably in this one. They have a solid defence but it is their offensive line that creates them a ton of chances, both on the floor and in the air. Demarco Murray is a top running back and when Derrick Henry is on form those two form a great tandem. That threat gives Mariota the chance to also throw the ball and Richard Matthews is quickly becoming his favourite target. With Eric Decker and tight end Delanie Walker also available to catch the ball, Mariota has weapons all over the field and he is certainly capable of finding them.

If Marcus Mariota does not make this game then I still make Tennessee favourites to win the game, although if Mariota does play then they become very strong favourites in my mind. Tennessee have enough weapons to really trouble this Colts defence, and they don’t have the attacking players to turn this into a shootout. That gives the Titans the upper hand and I am more than happy to back them to win this game, and if Mariota plays then I think they will win it comfortably. Watch out for news before the game about Mariota, my guess at this stage is that he plays and the Titans win comfortably.
